Logan Myler (PI)
Logan is an Assistant Professor in Pharmacology and Chemical Biology and a member of the Genome Stability Program at UPMC. He received his PhD with Tanya Paull and Ilya Finkelstein at UT-Austin, where he studied the first steps of DSB repair using single-molecule DNA curtains. He then did postdoc training with Titia de Lange at The Rockefeller University to study how DSB repair proteins are regulated at telomeres. His responsibilities include mentoring, funding the lab, and making sure the environment is inclusive and fun to work in. Logan’s project in the lab involves purifying proteins, generating preliminary data for new projects, and helping others with their experiments.
Looking for new members!
Axel Woehrling
Axel is a Health Sciences Research Fellow in the lab. He’s interested in the roles of WRN in preventing premature senescence and aging phenotypes.
Jorlane de Jesús
Jorlane is a graduate student in the lab as part of the Oncology Graduate Program (OGP). She’s interested in ATR activation and how it’s regulated.
Kylee Mone
Kylee is a graduate student in the lab that is co-advised with Patty Opresko as part of the Molecular Biophysics and Structural Biology Program (MBSB). She’s interested in telomerase activity and regulation by the DNA damage response.
